Lourdes University head coach
Jo Ann Gordon has announced that
Tiffany Buckmaster will be joining the Gray Wolves' softball staff as an assistant coach for the upcoming season.
Â
"I am very excited and honored to have the opportunity to join Coach Gordon and the Gray Wolves' softball program," Buckmaster said. Â "Coach Gordon has a true player-centered mentality that was easy for me to relate to, and the opportunity to learn from her was something I could not pass up. Â I cannot wait to get on campus and hit the ground running."
Â
Buckmaster arrives at Lourdes from Williston State College, where she spent three seasons as the Tetons' head coach. While at Williston State, Buckmaster helped guide her team to a pair of runner-up finishes in the Mon-Dak Conference while producing eight All-Conference and six All-Region players. She also had 11 student-athletes earn All-Academic honors within the conference as well as an Academic All-American.
Â
"I am incredibly excited to bring Tiffany to Lourdes," Gordon stated. "Our student-athletes are getting an experienced assistant coach with head coaching experience. She will be involved in every facet of Lourdes softball and we share the same passion to develop, mentor, and teach young women to become leaders on and off the field."
Â
Prior to her stint at Williston State, Buckmaster spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Bluffton University as well as one year in that same role at Columbus State University.Â
Â
Buckmaster played her collegiate softball at Bluffton, where she was a member of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference championship team in 2008.
Â
A 2011 graduate of Bluffton with a bachelor's degree in health, physical education, and recreation, she earned her master's degree in business administration from the school in 2014.
