Complete 2013 Men's Volleyball Schedule
Lourdes University's head coach
Greg Reitz has announced the 2013 men's volleyball schedule which features seven home matches, including five at Tam-o-Shanter this spring.
“We have put together a really good schedule for this season,” Reitz stated. “Our conference set up is much better this year in that we have no doubleheaders. We play each team in our division both home and away. We also have some strong non-conference opponents from every division, including NCAA Division I this year.”
The Gray Wolves will open play on Jan. 18 hosting Robert Morris (Ill.) in a Mid-America Men's Volleyball Intercollegiate Conference (MAMVIC) East Division Match before entertaining conference foe Cardinal Stritch one day later.
The first road match of the year (Jan. 25) features a trip to Fort Wayne, Ind. to battle IPFW, a NCAA Division I program. The Gray Wolves then return home for a contest with Saint Ambrose (Feb. 2) before heading to Milwaukee, Wis. for matches against both the Milwaukee School of Engineering and Cardinal Stritch.
A home non-conference match against Siena Heights on Feb. 12 will mark the final time that Lourdes plays at home for more than a month, embarking on a 14-match road trip. The Gray Wolves will head to Iowa twice, including the Saint Ambrose Fighting Bee Classic (March 1-2), in addition to a three-match trip to the Carolinas (March 4-6) over spring break.
Lourdes returns home March 15 and 16 for a pair of home matches which will be played at Springfield High School against Saint Xavier and Clark before rounding out the regular season at Tam-o-Shanter on March 26 against Siena Heights.
The MAMVIC East Division Championships will then take place April 5-6 in Chicago, hosted by Robert Morris.
