Lourdes University director of athletics
Andre Smith has announced that the Gray Wolves will be adding men's and women's cross country programs which will begin competition in the fall of 2013.
With the addition of the two cross country teams, Lourdes will sponsor 10 varsity sports. Both teams will compete at the NAIA level in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference.
Jeremy Snow has been named the men's head coach while
Leslie Stong will head the women's program.
“I am pleased to announce that we will be adding men's and women's cross country to our athletic family,” Smith stated. “It is not too often that you can hire two up and coming coaches that work well with others and understand the importance of a student-athlete. I have watched Jeremy and Leslie work these past few months and they have both done a wonderful job with us.”
In addition to the two cross country teams, Lourdes University also has men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's golf, baseball, and softball programs.
